Looking for those games that you may have heard about but never tried until you got a Deck. Or old games on systems you never had that you’re trying for the first time. Or new AAA games that just released in the last year or two that you picked up for the first time specifically to play on Steam Deck and have kept you glued to the device.

I’m trying to reinvigorate my old, nostalgic love of gaming and hoping to find the perfect Steam Deck + addicting game combo.

How about the mouse controls? I haven’t played a strategy game like Factorio, City Skylines, Civ, etc., on the deck yet.

I recently learned Civ has controller-friendly controls, but haven’t tried it yet. Mouse movements and clicks are muscle memory for these games. It’s pretty hard to play on a controller.

I haven’t tried using the touchpad for strategy games either. Even using it for Black Mesa was hard for me.

Civ 6 is a little awkward at first but you can get used to it. Afaik there is a console version with full controller support, I wish they would port it over to PC.
