I posted before on the shortcomings I had… I ordered a Supernote to compare as I had time within my return window.

I love the software on the Supernote tablet - so much functionality easily accessible - lasso headings, lasso keywords, star symbols for actions or other notable items in a notebook etc etc. Unfortunately their desktop (i.e. cloud) app is no better than Remarkable’s so that’s a wash.

Today I packed up my Remarkable2 and was upset at the potential of the device versus the reality - fantastic hardware let down by software - the Supernote is almost the reverse.

I went from the remarkable to iPad to VR headset. I still enjoy VR more than anything with Meta Quest

I would have done the same, but I bought my RM2 at a convenience store (Best Buy) and therefore missed my return window of 15 days. I am stuck and I have adapted by jumping through many hoops in the hopes I can be blissfully ignorant to what I am missing out with Supernote. On the upside, I enjoy piracy.

I have both the rM2 and the Supernote A5X. Consider finding one on eBay or third party site like Mercari. The Supernote has a few tools like “hyperlink” that can really have an impact depending on your use case. in my honest opinion I found that there is a learning curve with the Supernote, their interface is not as nice as rM2 until you learn how to navigate it but its still different and majority of the things they offer, actually rM2 does it just called something different or looks different but its the same function. After using the rM2 since 2021 and the Supernote since 2022, I landed and never really stop using my rM2 and prefer it over the Supernote even with all its bells and whistles. I done reset that Supernote, but it back up in the box until my use case changes enough where the rM2 can’t meet my needs anymore. I prefer writing on the rM2 also. I did just order the new film for the Supernote to see if it improves the writing experience (feels like writing on plastic to me. So much so, the company has decided they too need to try to create more of a writing on paper feel). Love both devices and I’m glad I don’t have to fight over them, I just have them handy to meet my preference needs. They are coming out with new Supernotes in 2024 as well.

Also had both. The ReMarkable just works better for a more pencil on paper feel with a distraction-less note-taking experience. With the SuperNote I really liked the organization capabilities but things slowed down the more I used it, where as RM was more consistent throughout.

I agree, my Supernote experience felt like writing on plastic even with the HOM2 and doesn’t care to my rM2 experience. I just ordered the new film for the Supernote as well to see if its improves the experience.
