As title.
I also got a Gigabyte AUORAS Elite Z790 with 32GB of 6400MHz DDR5 RAM. I also have an M.2 NVMe drive with Windows 10 on it.
I haven’t installed any drivers in Windows at all (not from Mobo Manufacturers website). They seemed a bit out of date and Windows should download anything it requires anyway right?
What CPU/Mobo drivers do I need to get best performance?
Intel driver assistant, and future bios updates.
The Intel extreme overclocking utility is pretty nice. Overclocking in bios is stil recommend, but the readouts of watts, thermal throttling, etc are really nice features.

Update to latest BIOSt first. Second, you should download the chipset driver from the Gigabyte website. This is priority number 1 for the motherboard chipset to work properly…
Hi, I’m new to the desktop world as my first PC was a laptop and has been serving me for 7 years straight…
I’m just missing the CPU (14700K in my shopping cart) and I paired it with an MSI Pro Z790-A, and I see it has a ‘flash BIOS’ button on the rear I/O.
I was wondering: how do I update the BIOS of my motherboard? Do I need to install Windows first and then proceed from there or do I have to update it from the BIOS itself and then install everything else?
