I’ve been with Moto flagships for the last 3 years and I decided to come back to Samsung. I always preferred their cameras, brightness, and the fact they have an actual photo gallery unlike Motos. The S23+ seems to fit the bill. It’s currently $799 at Best Buy and Amazon. Will the price likely drop at all next week? The only reason I ask is because I haven’t bought a flagship during the holiday shopping season ever, so I don’t know what to expect.

$799 is a great price for the factory unlocked S23+/256. The only time it has been lower has been back during the July Prime Day sale, when it sold for $749 to Prime members only. It has not sold for that low since.

While it MAY drop down that low for CyberMonday or during the time between Thanksgiving and New Years, it’s a long shot that it will. It would not surprise me if it did in 2024 in the months after the release of the S24+ though.

$799 is a great price, and the S23+ is a great phone. I say if you are impatient, or really want a new phone soon, go for it. We’re only talking $50 here, and you will be very happy with the S23+. Otherwise, take a shot on it dropping it $749 (or even waiting to see the pre-release deals on the S24+). Good luck and have a happy Thanksgiving.

Right now, for $100 more you can buy a brand new factory unlocked S23/Ultra on Amazon. Personally, if you can spare $100, I’d go for the brand new Ultra over a refurb.

Guys, trust me, look for refurbished phones. Unless there is a reason you need the latest and greatest, nothing beats a refurbished phone in terms of value. And the darn phone looks brand new. I have purchased at least 3 Samsung refurbished phones and I typically keep them at least 5 years.

I want to know as well.

Currently the S23 is about $700 usd…and that ‘deal’ has more or less been on for at least a month now.

Anyone have any hints as to when/if Samsung will have some actual real Black Friday deals?

Glad others are seeing what I’m seeing, really unimpressive sales on the S23 (new). Trade-in values on Samsung site are also really poor. Seems like the way to go with Samsung flagships is to buy a new but few years old device (S21 in particular) as Sammy is traditionally not a big discounter.

Same. I’ve been eyeing the S23+ 512GB for a month. I was ectastic to see it drop to $919 on Amazon as an Early Black Friday deal. Wondering if it’ll drop more on actual Black Friday / Cyber Monday or this is the lowest it’ll go until S24 releases. My concern is the color I want will be sold out at its current price before next week.

I’m using the Moto G Stylus rn and it’s dying on me by the daily. Would be great if anyone knows. I haven’t used Samsung in a decade.

$919 is a pretty good price for the factory unlocked S23+/512, although is not a BF special price IMHO as it has been at the price several times in 2023. The only time it has been lower though has been back during the July Prime Day sale, when it sold for $819 to Prime members only. It has not sold for that low since.

While it MAY drop down that low for CyberMonday or during the time between Thanksgiving and New Years, it’s anybody’s call if it will. It would not surprise me if it did in 2024 in the months after the release of the S24+/512 though.

$919 is not a bad price at all, and the S23+ is a great phone, especially with 512 if you are like me and like to keep a lot of local files. But if your phone is dying right now, then it may be best for you to go for it today. Otherwise, if you can make it that long, take a shot on it dropping it $819 (or even waiting to see the pre-release deals on the S24+/512, which will likely include the 512 storage update free, plus perhaps a gift card). Good luck and have a happy Thanksgiving.
