Like read a dictionary, do you even know what the word means? Smartphone design has more or less stabilised and unless holographic hard light devices, like the ones we see in movies, are invented, I don’t think there is anything left to be done on the hardware side expect adding gimmicks every now and then.

Your every day people don’t care. They are too busy with their lives to worry about specs and functions that only a niche or tech person cares about.

As Reddit and the majority of tech media skews to the latter, we hear so many more complaints about “innovation” or lack thereof.

If you buy every version of a smartphone then the changes are incremental. An average iPhone owner upgrades every 3.5 years. That means most people are upgrading to 15 from 11 or older. In terms of screen quality, speed, and battery life, and software upgrades, these people will certainly see and feel the improvement. Someone coming from 14 will not see as many and shouldn’t expect to.

The average Indian teen watches 10 reviews before buying a phone, it is in our nature to compare specification. However, iPhone paired with its good hardware offers clout, which no other brand can. Samsung/Xiaomi are too common, The old OnePlus is dead, Nothing is too new, The Pixel is almost non-existent to the point having it makes people wonder what phone you have and only tech enthusiasts will recognise it
