I have an ASUS ROG PG279Q that worked with my official dock over HDMI up until yesterday when I updated to 3.5.5 and updated the Dock Official Firmware. The monitor is now no longer detected on the official dock no matter what I do. I have tested using different cables and a separate unofficial USB-C -> HDMI Portable Hub where the monitor is detected and working as expected.

Any ideas for troubleshooting the official dock? Is there a way to roll back the firmware update? Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks

I’m looking at this issue now, but in the meanwhile, try this short term workaround:

Cold boot (from shutdown) while docked, or, if you get into this mode, try doing a quick sleep/wake of your device.

Let me know if that does/doesn’t help, and if you still have trouble, please post your display model number, which display connector (and cable, if convenient) you’re using. It helps with reproducing symptoms on my end.

This is occurring for me for my ASUS ROG PG279Q using this HDMI Cable

Cold boot did not work initially, however after plugging and unplugging the dock connector back into the Deck, I finally was able to get it to display.

Same thing with sleep/wake; Connected and displayed after taking the previous steps mentioned, enter sleep mode, wake the device, no display. Disconnect and reconnect the dock connector, correctly displaying.

Thank you for looking into this.
