Contact paper may work but in my exp they tend to have a yellow tint…also they have no UV protection so if the sun hits it it will really yellow and break down

Just buy a piece of clear vinyl or go to a paint shop/car wrapping shop and get a piece of clear bra/paint protection film

I use it on all my builds

If a panel breaks it holds all/99.9999 % of the pieces together

If flat cover it with paint or vinyl

If embossed /indented

Remove the shroud and eith sand flat…or fill with body filler

depends on how the FP reader is connected.

More then likely all the connections/circuitry is all intergrated & a single SOC/cpu controlls both the mouse & FP reader

IF this is the case, your only option is to remove the internals & move into a new body. this will likely require modifications to the housing (cutting, fiberglass/body filler, paint)

I highly doubt the FP reader is on its own & can just be pulled out & put into another mouse & work correctly
