I have a Logitech G Pro wireless mouse. I love it. It’s smooth, comfortable, lights up and works with all my OSes. I also have a ThinkPad T-something-or-other. It has a fingerprint sensor with Windows Hello. I also love that. I want to make something where I combine a thin fingerprint reader with my mouse to use on my PC, so that signing in will be easy for mw and hard for others.

I know that this is far-fetched, but:

Is this possible?
If so, How?

    depends on how the FP reader is connected.

    More then likely all the connections/circuitry is all intergrated & a single SOC/cpu controlls both the mouse & FP reader

    IF this is the case, your only option is to remove the internals & move into a new body. this will likely require modifications to the housing (cutting, fiberglass/body filler, paint)

    I highly doubt the FP reader is on its own & can just be pulled out & put into another mouse & work correctly

      I’ve taken apart a few old laptops. Most of the fingerprint reader is an entire board and circuitry in a small package with 4 conductor cable to the motherboard. If it is USB, OP could shove a fingerprint scanner inside the mouse but OP would also need to add an USB hub to connect the mouse and fingerprint reader to one cable going to the computer.

      EDIT: disregard below paragraph, I missed the part about wireless. I’ve never seen a wireless fingerprint scanner

      Not hard to do though, it depends on how much space is inside and how careful OP can be for wiring them up and mounting the reader so it can read without making ugly cutout
