Valve knew the OLED was coming and still released the refurbished models at higher prices than a new one is now.

My issue is more that they JUST released “affordable refurbished steam decks” 3 months ago. Which were more expensive than a new one would be now (and has now tanked a LOT in resale value). And there is no way they weren’t fully aware of that when they launched it.

They could’ce released the refurbs later, which saves the customer money. Or had more time in between these launches, which makes the customer not feel like they overspent/regret their purchase.

I was saving up since forever to buy the 256GB model. When the refurbished one dropped I bought that for €440 which is more than a new one now… I would’ve gladly waited and bought the new oled version

They really just launched the refurb for that price just to do this huh

To make it all even better my deck is currently in for repairs because of a fan issue. I fr want my money back and want to buy the oled one lmao
