You signed up for something. Probably without realizing this.
Apple always sends a receipt, although in my experience there’s a delay of a day or two. If you don’t see it, check the junk folder.
And while Apple support is not always super knowledgeable, they are very responsive. Did you try to schedule a callback from them ?
To be honest, I fail to see any major performance differences between M2 Air and M1 Air.
Not to say they’re not there, but rather the M series of CPUs are already very well optimized for typical day-to-day activities.
