The talk of the different configs of the M3 pro/max chips is what intrigues me. One version of the M3 Pro chips with a 6+6 cpu with 18 gpu cores; another with a 10+4 cpu with 30 gpu cores. The most powerful Max chips with a 12+4 cpu with 40 freakin gpu cores!
Is Apple actually serious enough about its newfound gaming vision to make ARM-based hardware conducive to attracting PC gamers with notable titles, even if not AAA titles?
If certain games like Resident evil and assassin’s creed can run on a freakin iPhone, there’s no excuse for Apple to not try to get higher class games on their Mac platform. I’m excited to see what Apple has up their sleeves in the coming years.
Still more power efficient than x86 based chips so if Apple takes a hit in that regard, they still have a big advantage in power efficiency in general.
Will AAA titles ever be ported to Mac at some point? Is Apple wasting their time?
Apple silicon sure has the hardware to be able to handle gaming, at least for top end chips.
I mean having AirPlay/shareplay features in RCS texting isn’t what people are asking for. It’s functional cross-platform group texts, read receipts, full sized media sharing, and other basic features that RCS hopes to bring to all smartphones.
