There are ways of bypassing it. I once worked at telecom company and one solution for my clients was to insert EU sim card in the phone, leave it there for 30min (or 3h, lol I dont remember how long), make a phone call, answer it on the other end, speak for 30 sec and then the phone should be unlocked. It this doesn’t help, go to Samsung store or your telecommunications operator and ask for a different solution.

I dunno, is Samsung copying just the 3.5mm jack and charger or is it copying the big stuff like displays, cameras etc? It’s annoying to not have a charger in box, but are these decisions major? Don’t think so. Apple on the other hand…
