  • I would not use the word “ditch” but the steam deck made it easier to separate work from play. My playtime on my laptop has decreased and on the steam deck increased due to adjustments done to my routine.

I play on my laptop at home, i work at univ on my laptop, in between those times i use the steam deck. Some situations are easier to deal with when you have the steam deck to pass time.

There are some games like dragon’s dogma, monster hunter rise, and divinity original sin 2, that eat up a lot of battery if left untouched.

The best way to get the most out of them is by lowering the resolution, lower settings, and using powertools. You can get these games to run around 9-11watts overall and would give you around 3.5-4 hours of battery life.

A game i tried as a child and was lost to me for years. I remember the memory card was broken, i forgot the name, lost my psp, and stopped gaming soon after. Until i returned to gaming in 2019 with monster hunter world and after purchasing the steam deck, i’ve found this long lost gem :D
