Bad advice, there are still bugs on the preview build hence why it’s not released to everyone.

It will likely have high demand but doubt it will sell out in seconds as it’s not a major hardware upgrade.

Also something no one has discussed is waiting for the FOMO buyers to get it and see if there are any issues with the device, Valves quality control has been suspect at times and I have no doubt the OLED will have some issues that no one is currently aware of.

If you already have an LCD Deck let others beta test the new model and if you still want one buy it in a few months, it’s not going anywhere.

It’s only kids who seemingly need validation from strangers on the internet who seem to be upset about this. I’ve had my Deck since launch and use it daily, it’s been a game changer for me and whilst an OLED screen would be nice a lack of real performance boost means it doesn’t change how great the original deck is.

This sub needs to be moderated better, it’s a shitshow at the moment.

It was a poor product from the go, I have minimal sympathy for them. The deck struggles with modern titles at 800p, putting a higher res screen in which requires a sketchy custom BIOS was never a good solution.

Everyone knew Valve would launch an OLED at some point too (wasn’t expecting it this quick but still…) so it’s even worse they went ahead with it.
