Possibly? I use mine docked with 2 monitors and external drives, a mouse and a keyboard and a tablet and it is way better than my 2019 mac which is now my new PLEX/streaming thing…

What’s weird is I got an OG Steamdeck when they first released and Proton was an absolute shxtshow and 90% of my games with anticheat or other crxp wouldn’t work or would then not with the next update, so I went to Windows 11 Pro to solve that. Wish I hadn’t because SteamOS and Proton is so much better now, better than Windows for Windows only games too 🤷🏻‍♂️

No, but I’m very much an edge case, and if I travel it’s never used, because I only use it to plug into my dumb TVs and stream films and music. Obscene I know because I have close to 7000 games on my Steam account but haven’t played a single one since last year and since about a month after I got it because I ended up it a coma for nearly 2 months about a month after I got it and I have zero chance of even being able to play pacman on it now 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

I’d honestly get the 64GB OG and a 2TB SSD, it’s not hard to do, and would take you 20 minutes with a HDMI/USB 4/USB C dongle and charge passthrough and a cheap enclosure to put the 64GB SSD in to just clone it and with the price of the 64GB OG, it’s about the same price as the 256 is even with the reductions. My friend did mine at launch as a favour but then he also upgraded his to 32GB ram too, but that isn’t really possible or recommended, but he has £12k of equipment to work with and it took him nearly a week, just because he could.

Yeah it will. I got one of these to stick my 64GB one in to copy it to my 1TB then sold it on ebay with the 64GB in there for £60 and it was only £8 and my 1TB was only £85 so go for it…

Not really. With the price of SSDs now you could get a 2TB one for the same price and it takes like 15 minutes tops.
