I suggest just using an SD card to backup files that can’t be restored by Steam. Then just do a factory restore from a USB stick.

Wait what do you mean? I just have an extra 256gb laying around after installing my 1TB SSD, so I wanted to be able to use the old one docked.

Yeah it will. I got one of these to stick my 64GB one in to copy it to my 1TB then sold it on ebay with the 64GB in there for £60 and it was only £8 and my 1TB was only £85 so go for it…

i use the 2tb m.2 2280 storage device you are showing, and i use it in a sabrent enclosure as its easy to use, no unscrewing/screwing, it has a push button lock to open it, nice and easy. and yes you can use it as extra storage when docked or velcro it to the back of the deck and use while handheld.

just use this mount script to make the changes permanant, or if you know how to add via fstab yourself you can do that instead.
