PS portal is definitely the worst of the bunch. You could get a ps5 and any of those above and stream your games there as well

.local houses all important apps so it’s not good to remove any of it. The deletion probably removed Steam or some of the files so it cannot boot now
Setting up a system recovery is pretty simple. I don’t think it’s fully broken
Just go to Steam support website and look for Steam Deck recovery
The default Steam OS can be used as any PC. You don’t even need windows, it can do most things well enough
It’s not blurry. It looks pretty decent actually. I don’t have any upscaling on and just play at 25-30 fps no issues. It’s not a game that needs the best fps to play
Also it’s probably blurry because you might not have set the correct resolution in gaming mode? Select BG, go properties and change the resolution from default to whatever you want. Just be warned that anything above 1080 will hinder the performance more
I’d recommend older versions like Word 2015. They’re still pretty modern but don’t have that stupid Microsoft DRM bs
Also I recommend Bottles, not proton. Bottles has dedicated settings for applications, and they’re separate from gaming
