    It’s standard practice. Nintendo also said no new models and poof there goes the OLED…

    They don’t want to hurt their sales, of course they lie

    Yeah, this isn’t a new model, it’s just a refresh, I bought mine recently too, but it’s not that big of a deal…it’s not like it’s the Steam Deck 2 (which is what they were referring to when they said no new models). I’m not happy about it, but I’m not angry.

    No new performance target for the Steam Deck for the next 2 years. That’s not the same as no new models.

    So by your logic, the new xbox series s black model that has the 1tb is also a new model? No. It’s a refresh and update.

    I think this is great for some people on the fence but it doesn’t bring significant increase in performance compared to other models. This isn’t going to make Starfield (or games as intensive) medium settings 40 fps locked. Now hopefully in a couple of years that kind of model is coming.
