If it’s reasonably likely is questionable. If someone has a defect on a new product they’ve been excited for, you’re absolutely right that they’d be vocal. This even happened with the LCDs when first waves were being shipped out.
But I will say it’s almost certain that BOE panels do have on average more defects than Samsung panels, including dead pixels. Even if the average for both is low.

Any feedback on the “mouse” feature? I’ve heard different reviewers say very different things about it.
I could kinda see it for really specific use cases? Like, if a person’s extremely specific use case is to play PS5 titles in their bed at home, then yeah, for sure. The Portal is better.
But for overall features and capabilities? That’s just a foul comparison right there.
Most people don’t realize that companies, especially the massive ones, want one thing even more than money: market share.
Market share is the ultimate guarantee of future and long term profitability. You could have a year of revenue that’s a whopping 20 times higher than the previous year, but if you’re losing market share due to the decisions that made those profits possible, you’ve doomed your future.
Microsoft values the majority market share Windows has, which is why they’re in no rush to make Gamepass easy to play on the Deck. They don’t want you to buy the Deck, they want you to buy the ROG Ally, a device they partnered with that pushes their platform and operating system.
Could they make some serious short term cash by doing it? Yes. But clearly that isn’t worth it to them if it sacrifices even a tiny portion of the Windows dominance on the market of operating systems.

Sale was good, but none of the things I’ve really been waiting for on my wishlist were anything more than 10% off, so it was a bummer.
Not that I’ll actually get around to playing any of those or the games I did buy instead of cycling through the same five games eternally lmao.
