I’m not sure if a laptop with a stylus makes sense when it doesn’t fully fold flat. Seems like a bit of a half measure. That Asus is a really nice laptop, but it’s going to be loud because its a very small chassis for a lot of power, and it’s going to be hot. Again, because it’s a small chassis for a lot of power. I’m sorry that I don’t have a recommendation available at the time of posting this, but I’m thinking that there could be a better option out there.

Lenovo 14 Slim 7 in terms of performance is an easy win IMO.
If the Dell XPS13 is the non-plus then that’s the one I would personally get because I prefer the chassis even though it is the least performant of the bunch. The xps13plus is a shitshow with its trackpad and buggy software on the 12th gen intel model.
I’m a whore for build quality and hand feel, the XPS line has been top dog for me in that regard for a while now.
I honestly didn’t have a problem with the laptops battery, it was the trackpad that was a problem. I went through two of them before I decided to break down and get an M2 Macbook air for my ultraportable and an XPS15 for my mobile workstation.
Lenovo Legion Slim 5 can be found around 899 on sale USD with a 4060 modern ryzen 5 and 16gb ram. That’s a pretty good bang for buck with good build quality.
