Folks out there telling people they don’t need an OLED Steam deck are suffering from head trauma, because this is the only explanation I can use to justify this ridiculous statement.
I don’t own a Steam deck, but I do own a Switch. Going from regular to OLED is a *literal* game changer. See what I did there?
The color display on an OLED screen makes everything easier to see. The lack of a backlight means nothing is diffused.
But the most overlooked aspect of the OLED screen? You can play it outside while the sun is out. I play with my Switch while sitting on the back porch, and the evening sun no longer poses a problem to see the screen.
*kisses my OLED screen.
I will never buy an LED screen ever again. OLED is superior in every way.
