1 year agoBigger performance upgrade. This form factor is going to improve a lot over the years. This really isn’t one of the big ones. Although OLED is really nice.

As much as I rarely use my steamdeck (I only use it when I am on a trip), I am so thankful it exists. It is probably the biggest thing for Linux in ages. At least for desktop/gaming Linux.
No. I rarely use my steam deck, only when traveling so I am fine. I use my pc when I game 99% of the time. Not worth the loss in value trying to make the switch as it isn’t a daily driver for me.
I was planning on getting one, but I decided not to. I don’t use my steamdeck often (only on trips) and I’m more interested in SteamDeck 2 that’s a much bigger upgrade. I’d really love OLED and the battery life improvements, but it’s not a big enough upgrade to justify losing $300 on my current one.
