I’m not a NFL fan but coincidentally just yesterday I was reading that if you set your VPN to Canada and change your iTunes Store account to Canada you can get NFL with no blackouts for $20/month. All games, one app.
I have expressvpn. I’ll try to figure this out. Im not that familiar with DNS. Is that something I do on the router or in the Apple TV settings?

I have a VPN and I have it on my router so every device in the house is connected. However I’ve had no luck using the Apple TV for foreign content - as you have to change your Apple Store to the corresponding country.
So, a couple of easy workarounds. I watched several British shows setting my vpn to London by using the browser on my smart tv, instead of using the Apple TV. It was not ideal, but it worked.
Option two is easier. When I was watching a show from Australia I pulled it up on my iPad and then stream the iPad to the Apple TV. Some videos don’t allow that, in which case do the screen share. Still less convenient than using the Apple TV but it works.
One thing I have not solved though. In the event anyone can help. I have Sling and in my town there are no local channels. I’ve tried to trick it by being in NYC, LA, etc. with no luck.
And doesn’t track you like Samsung does
