All I know is I’m not going to risk it. Apple Watches might be swim proof, but water ingress is not typically covered by warranty.

I have the series 8, and it was important to me to get the pulse ox and ECG that the SE doesn’t have.
I turned it off on my S8. You can’t see the widgets or running seconds anyway, so I didn’t consider it worth the battery drain.
