I feel like my 6900k, still going at 4.5 all core, is not worthy of an upgrade even with 12/13/14th gen CPU’s. I might gain 10% on my 3080 when upgrading cpu. Generally, people mess up with gaming rigs getting the best cpu they can. It’s kinda wasteful tbh. Unless you utilize the cpu daily, it’s not a warranted upgrade. Gaming though, you’d want a great gpu and a GOOD cpu, not the best cpu. In games, it does 10% better. Why spend $1000 for 10%? You’re paying $100 per one percent of fps.
