  • I’m not good either. The difficulty of these games is way overrated. You can just grind a bit and over level for an area or boss, like you can in any JRPG. You can also play as a sorcerer instead of being pure melee, which makes the game far easier because you don’t have to learn to parry and don’t have to dodge as often. You can just run past many hard enemies, or come back to fight them later when you’re stronger because it’s an open world. You can summon spirit ashes, which are NPC minions that can draw aggro and tank for you while you pew pew the enemy from a distance. You can summon human co-op allies to help with tough bosses. You can enjoy and beat this game if you give it a chance.

  • Steam Deck was like the Switch. Steam Deck OLED is like the Switch OLED, essentially the same performance with a better screen and plays all the same games. Steam Deck 2 is going to be 2025 or 2026, and will be a big performance bump like Switch 2.

Valve has never said they would not make a mid-generation refresh like consoles typically do. What they have said is that they are waiting until they can have a generational increase in performance for a true successor, and that’s still a while away. People kept misreporting what Valve said and interpreting that to mean no mid-generation refresh.
