I bought a stainless band and wear that. I never was a high end watch guy, and I’m not sure I want to be. I know it’s considered sacrilege to some to wear a sport watch with dress, but I don’t care. More people notice if you are fit, your suit is tailored nicely, and your footwear is on point than they do your wrist.

This is not a thing I worry about, as my understanding is that the risk is negligible, if it exists at all.

Series 9, 41mm (there’s no diff in battery life between 41 and 44mm.) As for anxiety-producing notifications, they are easily turned off and/or customized. Me, I recommend getting cellular as well, for the occasional call and being able to leave your phone behind for errands and walks, etc. They are great.

Battery battery battery. Durability. Able to actually use the apps, take some calls, keep features running with juice to spare. Worth it totally.

Daily wear: definitely Trail Loop. The others are a) harder to put on/take off; b) less comfy. Congrats on a new Ultra!

I’ve pretty much gotten used to it, though I’m not sure I like it as well. The biggie for me was swiping between faces for use cases (gym, running, etc) but I confess the swipe up to get to “pinned” and/or most used apps is not bad either. I will also say the redesigned Weather app is an abomination; I switched all my weather complications to Carrot Super Duper Hyper Prime Plus or whatever the f*ck it is, which is excellent.

Go 9 or Ultra. Get the latest.

That’s relative, I guess… I did “Ultra Premium” for $40/yr. Probably could have been ok with just Premium for $20/yr. I made an emotional decision when Apple took Dark Sky dark. The desktop app is pretty great, too… I think that comes with whatever Premium plan you get. Long live Carrot

LOVE Carrot, but don’t love paying for Premium to get the good features, BUT paying anyway since Apple dismantled Dark Sky. The Carrot app on AW beats the heck outta the travesty that is the current Watch OS 10 weather app. A drunk person designed it.
