An overall better performing unit. Idgaf about a screen or battery life ATM. Also, I’m only 2 months into this one so an investment in another feels kinda silly

First of all, congratulations! Having a kid can be so dope!!
Secondly, this is a meme, and I feel like it belongs in r/gamingcirclejerk so part of me thinks you’re kidding…
If you’re serious, I’d strongly recommend you check in to ensure your partner has EVERYTHING she needs before you settle down. And don’t play anything too engaging. Keep it light!
When my partner was in her latest months, I couldn’t even think of logging on.
There’s an inherent curse of having a gaming platform so readily accessible. It works because you can game whenever you want, but it doesn’t work because it can quickly become a means to very quickly separate from parenting and paying attention.
I’ve got BG3 on my deck (gifted to me), and I’m still not quite ready to load it up with my 2 year old around, because it requires more attention than I’m willing to sacrifice with a little one in my presence.
I too bought my Steam Deck a month ago, so this does bite a bit. At the same time, I’ve never loved a handheld gaming set like this before.
Hands down one of my best purchases of all time, so I’m just glad I can be incredibly confident with my next Steam Deck purchase!
I really cannot, and will not, justify a few hundred quid for some screen glare and battery life.
I’m incredibly happy with my SteamDeck!
