2 years agoI tend to just buy things as I need them. Phone dies a horrible death ? Buy a new one. Usually lasts me around 5 years these days. I’m excited for my OLED but I didn’t buy the original purely as I wasn’t sure if I would have used it. I literally made my decision to buy one, but before I put in my purchase the OLED was announced. Happy coincidence! I’m pretty excited to spend less time shackled to my home office and instead vibe in the living room with my partner AND game. I’ve stocked up on plenty of indie titles over the years so this is my moment.
Honestly though I understand the wish for the next shiny thing, I’m pretty stingy with money even though I don’t really need to be. I just don’t feel that the experience would be that much different moving from one to the other. I’m the kind of person to buy the best option, but then I’ll use it until it’s begging for mercy years later until it finally dies of “natural causes”. For me as well, if I had the original SD I wouldn’t have bought the OLED as it’s mainly for indie chilled titles for me. Any of the more intensive games I just sit on the PC for. Anything cinematic same thing. Admittedly I’m excited that the kinds of games I’m buying it for are going to give me a TON of battery life with the OLED, but that’s nothing that couldn’t be mitigated for you with a powerbank.
