I would get the upgrade if I would not feel sorry for my old Steam Deck if I did, especially since it’s already doing a great job… that’s the easiest way to resist the FOMO for me :D.

Yes, no problem there - only thing you need to be aware of is it runs slower or faster depending on screen refresh rate -so set to 60 fps to get the correct speed. On protondb you can check that others also can run it on their deck.
