I have a gaming laptop, a gaming pc and a steam deck now. For me the gaming laptop just felt impractical to carry around if I really wanted to do mobile gaming. I find myself hard to get immersed in big games while being mobile hence I bought the steam deck. If I want to experience AAA games I can play those when I have my gaming pc available.
