people talk about how they FEEL like their battery got 400% better or worse

I’ve never believed any claim about battery life here honestly. If people want to see longer battery life they could try and replace it after 2 years, or even 1 year, that will probably have a bigger impact than a software update.

I’m not an axpert, just trying to find an explanation. There are different system used in store alarm, the most recent use RFID tags, and this should be smart enough to know your phone isn’t a store item. The older system might use something simpler but I’m not too sure what. Is it possible that the magnets, the wireless charge antenna or the NFC antenna are triggering it?

I assume Samsung made the choice that the last bit of juice should be reserved for emergency calls instead of turning the light on for few minutes. Sounds fair to me.

On my Flip it reports 40GB. Don’t forget we’re talking about an operating system.

Aren’t the sensors ultrasound? I know the Pixel uses optical sensor and is much worse buy the Samsung one shouldn’t be sensitive to brightness levels.

27GB of system data seem reasonable, 25GB of apps are the only thing you can manage. You need to delete more apps, not much else you can do honestly.
