Yep yep, apart from beta drivers I’ve hardly ever had issues with drivers on AMD. Just the odd rare game that never gets attention.
Worst thing I experience is low fps in some old games, as they don’t push the GPU to clock up and just putt along.
Back when I had Nvidia, new games would have issues until they released a game ready driver for it.
In some cases. Starfield pretty much doubled for me in fps numbers, but still felt like the original fps heh, useless for me on 4k 60hz
Just be careful of the most budget versions, powercolor fighter, sapphire pulse, they cut costs, less heatsink, less fans, less clocks.
I had a sapphire rx580 8gb, great card. 6700xt 12gb powercolor spectral white, the build quality is insane, so easy to disassemble. 7900xt 20gb xfx, this card is super long! Kinda wish the heatsink was a bit thicker, but I should of shelled out for 7900xtx if I wanted the best. 34.4 cm, over 13 inches! I couldn’t fit the antisag bracket, had to improvise.
People always rip on amds GPU drivers, but show Nvidia control panel vs AMD’s and amds is far superior.
Consoles are AMD hardware now also.
They just need a bit more positive word of mouth and they will really pick up sales.
So the memory had thermal pads and not putty? I’m worried about opening up my 7900xt if it’s a mess in there.
I have previously repasted a 6700xt and new thermal pads, even doing the big one on back of GPU core to touch backplate. Previous cards it was just thermal paste everything.
