I went from iPhone 6s > 6s Plus > Galaxy note 9 > iPhone 13PM > Galaxy S21 FE > Pixel 7 > iPhone 15 Pro.
Personally, iPhone is the superior product (everything just works) however the pixel lineup is usually better bang for your buck. You get better Trade-in Bonus at least where I live here in Australia. Also, customization is a big limitation on iOS, I used Nova Launcher so I could resize any widgets and place them anywhere on the screen but on iOS you have a set widget size and you can only place it around the icons and in line with the grid.
Pixel was a much easier phone to use with Google Assistant being able to do so much more especially when driving (through Waze, Google Maps etc), also google assistant has better compatibility with Youtube Music and other google apps.
Setting Ringtones, notifications etc is a pain on iOS because in order to set custom ringtones it is a tedious process of getting a screen record, extracting audio through Garageband etc.
Pixel is better if you know what you’re doing with it. iPhone is better for the average user. From what I can read with you sideloading modded apps etc (I’m guessing things like Vanced, adfree Instagram etc) Pixel will be the better pick.
Try the iPhone if you want, the value lasts much longer so you won’t have any trouble selling it second handed if you ever want to.
