I just recently bought a LCD one during the sales leading to the OLED release. And I know that basically constantly using your phone or laptop whilst it’s charging will ruin the battery and make it so you have to keep it constantly plugged in like a life support bc the battery died and can’t hold any power anymore. Has any of you experienced issues like these ? Do you have any tips or experienced things i should or should never do with the SD if i want to keep it in the best working condition for as long as possible?

As long as your deck is plugged into the proper charger (ie 45w like the one it comes with), this shouldn’t be a problem. The Deck will disengage the battery when it’s being charged with a powerful enough charger and run entirely off the power outlet.

In other words, arguably the best thing for battery health is to game on the battery when you have to, but to leave it plugged in the rest of the time.

I’ve always played plugged in. Bought at UK preorder launch & my battery stats look exactly the same when not plugged in.

If anything I’d say my battery would be in better condition because its never been put under load for long periods of time. It’s never had the stress of running low & recharging.

But then I don’t really care I always plug it up when playing…
