I want an Apex Encore and a 8000MT kit of RAM, but I’m unsure of the chance that I’d get a lemon IMC. What boards and kits are you guys using? Are you happy with them?
I plan on using software like blender, maya, zbrush and photoshop, but I also care about gaming and overall system stability and responsiveness so I am having a hard time choosing a memory kit. These are my current choices. I want 48GB but I would settle for 32GB if the latency, speed or stability is better. I heard that 2x16GB is better than 2x24GB for DDR5, is this true?
Getting an IMC that can hit 8000 MT/s is just luck of the silicon lottery. Nor much you can do except pray to the bin God’s.
On the other side, the Hynix 3GB M-Die (2x24 GB sticks) can hit 8000 MT/s relatively easily.
If you looking 32GB/48Gb with good latency, then you can get new release CORSAIR DOMINATOR® TITANIUM First Edition. Guru3D.com give Gold award for this DDR5 RAM.
I would go with the Apex Encore + TeamGroup 8200 48GB (2x24).
I’m running XMP with APEX (white/grey) with Teampgroup 8000 32GB (2x16gb), booted fine on XMP and never looked back, Asus board is a beast for memory.
14900KF in a MB 1700 ASUS B760M-PLUS TUF GAMING DDR5/HDMI/DP, 64Gb Corsair Vengeance Black 6000 DDR5. 480mm water cooler.
14900k, 192gb 4x 48gb Crucial 5600 (2 run at 5200, 2 at 5600) on a MSI Tomahawk board. Runs like a dream.
