Trying to sell my Deck locally on FB Marketplace, but I did not get anyone interested at all. Where do y’all sell yours?

    is it okay? Yeah
Are you gonna sell it for that price? Probably not, markets flooded with people selling their decks, the fact you have a 2TB ssd in it doesn’t really matter all that much

I sold mine for about 325$ last week. That was the highest offer after two weeks of accepting offers. Don’t count on it.

Sold my 512 anti-glare for $250 on Facebook Marketplace. Had a few $300 offers fall through, because…well…that’s what happens all the time on Facebook Marketplace. I was getting consistent $250 offers so I agreed on one where the seller brought cash and was able to pickup in less than an hour.

Honestly, easily could have gotten $300 (or more) if I was patient, but checking Marketplace you could see the market was getting flooded with Steam Decks. I also think a lot…a lot…of people just don’t know about the OLED upgrade because they are just buying “what their kid asked for”. That will change the longer the OLED is out.

You have the pick a side. Do you want to sell it now? Well, you’re competing with a lot of sellers right now so you need to be competitive. If you want top dollar? I’d wait until after the holidays when the market cools.

Sold my 512GB Steam Deck for 330€ the day after the OLED announcement. Since then you get them thrown at you for 250-270€ here in EU. Second hand LCD Decks are pretty much worthless by now, especially if you tinkered around with it.

If you are buying OLED afterwards, you should take out the 2TB ssd and sell it with its original SSD.

I don’t think many people realize how much the storage costs. Maybe just sell it with the original storage and lower the price if you want to get decent value back.

You’re overestimating the 2TB, yes it’s an upgrade but it also mean you opened it.

They can buy a 512Go new with the complet warranty for less than that or a oled 512Go for 50 more.

That second part of key, buyers don’t like modified Steam Decks…almost as much as they don’t care about all your accessories.

The most common question I got when selling my Deck was, “Is it the original 512GB or did you upgrade to 512GB?” Speaking with a few, they had no interest in a 64GB model with a new SSD.

Fair point. I don’t think the case is much of a needle mover, but I can see the etched glass being attractive.

          nope

questionable warranty as you have to trust that whoever did the upgrade didn’t fucked it up along the way

          people dont want modified ones
