I hated my Switch with a USB C on bottom. It made my life hell when I was playing in bed and had to charge it. (Laying on belly)

Paperwhite should only change the HUD Brightness. The only game that I have tested that does actually change MAX Luminance is Witcher 3.

I don’t own this game but I searched up “Spider-Man Remastered PC HDR GamingTech” and I found following video from GamingTech, which I take as source in many games above.

Summary: its HDR is broken. HDR Lumiance even at 1500 only gives you 500-560 nits max and looks really dark. However after reading some comments, I found out you can get 1000 nits max brightness with changing up “brightness” before puting HDR on on.

Try out Brightness 75 and HDR MAX Lumiance 1500 to get almost max 1000 nits. To check if it really gives you 1000 nits and almost 0 nits at lowest (to make sure there is no black level raise and shadows are actually blacks when they should be), go turn on HDR-Waveform. I explained in my post how to turn it on.

As I have said above, I cannot test it myself, so you have to test and see if the HDR actually works good or not

Edit: I read some reddit posts too and it is basically a sht HDR port on PC.

Let me rephrase myself

When you press “…” button, you get an overlay on right side and in “Gear” setting, you got your normal Brightness option. In HDR it should be at 100%.

Really? My Steam Deck LCD (April 2022 version) had worst build quality in my opinion. Steam, “…” and other small buttons + power button were not working all the time after 2-3 months of usage. On OLED they actually click and they are not mushy anymore. Plus the power button works without doing that much pressure. D-Pad is actually usable now. Maybe it was my LCD unit that had sht D-PAD. Idk. Steam did many revision after my deck lcd so maybe your deck had a better build quality

300€ for 256GB launch edition and had loud buttons + power button didn’t really work (I actually improved it before selling it xd). 300€ for a 2 years old device is okay I guess. You can get a new 256GB for 420€ + 1 year warranty + all the new things they changed in the last 2 years.

Basically it is not your GPU that is the problem because it is much faster than GPU in steam deck, however you probably got a “bad” cpu and for emulation cpu is much important. What CPU do you exactly have?

Probably gen 4,5 or 6 of Intel right? They had 2cores/4 threads or in best case 4 cores/8threads (like CPU of Steam deck with much less performance at same Ghz)

Bro, the driver actually did it. It arrived in Dortmund at 6:30 or so and I should recieve my deck in the next 3 hours. That truck driver is my superhero.

Guys, GLS truck arrived in Neuenstein couple of hours ago. I get my deck in Dortmund today, right? (copium level at maximium) (Neuenstein <-> Dortmund = about 430-440KM. Crying in Hopium)

[Germany] GLS picked up my OLED at 19:08 and since 19:18 it is on the way. „Delivery time 2+ days“. I just got an email and it should be hopefully here on Thursday if it doesn‘t get delayed. What about other Germans here? -512GB OLED 19:20 order

People who say, theirs got shipped today in EU, do you mean that you got the tracking number only? Or did GLS pick yours up already? I got a tracking number last night, Steam says “versandt” = shipped but in its Email and tracking site, it said that GLS hasn’t picked it up yet.

Lenovo Legion is cool and all but Steam Deck still outperfroms it at 15w or less. At 25w you are not getting muvh battery life anyway, so I didn‘t buy a Legion go. Steam Deck OLED is the way. I can finally play games much longer than on my deck.

I got my tracking number 9 hours ago but it hasn‘t been collected yet. I believe GLS collects mine and my fellow German‘s OLEDs tonight
