Good news, everyone. Today, GE-Proton8-24 has been released, fixing the wrong audio issue in the cutscenes. Yakuza 5 is finally perfectly playable on the Deck.

You need to manually download and switch to proton-ge for this game. I wonder if Valve is going to merge this fix with the official proton or proton experimental

That’s really good news. When I did a play through through the whole series, I had to install Windows on my Deck to finish Y5. It was an unpleasant experience.
Oh is that why it was unsupported? I noticed a few Yakuza games are unsupported on Deck but the rest were verified. This is good news.
