The amount of carbon this has undoubtedly put into our atmosphere is really my main concern. Yes I know you can do hacky workarounds to fix this, but how many of their consumers did this? Roughly none. What a waste of our planets resources.

People suddenly care about it, while the 30 series and 20 series of Nvidia did the same xD

      Absolutely hilarious

HD3870, HD4870, HD5850 already showed idle power troubles. So back in 2007 people already complained. Absolutely hilarious to downplay it.

The point being is that not everyone is having high power consumption at idle as evident by some people here. You missed the point completely.

I really don’t care what Nvidia cards have been doing. I “suddenly” care about it because idle power usage has jumped from 35w to 90w going from a 5700 XT to a 7800 XT.

Power problems have existed for generations of GPUs. I’ve simply given up on AMD for that since my setup runs alot on idle and Windows Desktop.
