So I’ve got quite an old game on my PC. Can I simply pick up the folder and drop it into my SD and click on the shortcut? I saved the correct resolution before closing it. It’s The Settlers 10th Anniversary, is this a stupid question? Not really clued up to be honest!

for Drap+Drop rather than install, you can just use Lutris, 1 of its options is to “Add” an existing game/install, you just point it to the right location and exe and your set, i did this for Microsoft Fury3, NWN2, Well of Souls, Airfix Dogfighter and a few other old games i have backed up on my NAS.

No, there’s a few more steps.

I don’t know that specific game, but once you’ve copy-pasted it onto your Deck, you’ll need to add it as a non-steam game and select a proton version. Any dependencies the game needs (eg visual C++, etc) will also need to be installed into that specific proton prefix.

DRM (eg CD key checks if it’s a real old game) might also be an issue.
