im not sure but i think most of laptops only has one ram slots, that means you can’t use 2 of 8gb rams
upgrading ram is pretty simply, just by searching on net, you’ll get hundreds of videos. and if you’re still worried you can give it to some repair shops, shouldn’t cost much
It’s usually not posted in the title but it should be in the details. 13th gen typically has DDR5 unless it s a budget model but RTX 30 series was usually paired with DDR4 so it’s really a toss up here.
Also yes the intel employee bit is relevant. I work in sales so I’m privy to a lot of this information
My brother moved out so he left some stuff and he left an 8gb ddr4 behind it should be easy to upgrade it right?
Depends on what the ram is, laptop ram is often SODIMM which are more compact

Most laptops have 2 slots, but I’d suggest getting a matching stick if possible. Some laptops have soldered ram, so watch out for that.
I asked them, it has extra slots for upgrading rams so it should be easy thanks men i appreciate it
Keep in mind PC RAM is bigger than laptop RAM (DIMM vs SODIMM), so his RAM might not fit.
Gaming laptops have at least 2 RAM Slots. The issue is this may be DDR5 RAM
-Intel Employee
even if it was ddr5 , it should mentioned in the title of the product,
😂ok cool
