I admit to not be an expert in screen technology, but I never had big problems reflection-wise with my non-etched LCD deck, so why is everyone worrying about reflections on the non-etched OLED? Are OLED screens more reflective than LCDs?
Cause they wanna justify their anti glare. Never bother me nor do I find it distracting when playing games. If you’re outside for some weird reason playing games In sunlight in 2023 then maybe I could understand it
Because this sub is insane. Steam deck people are insane people.
The next one is going to be checking your screen supplier to see if it’s Samsung or BOE, and getting upset if it’s not Samsung.
Ever see your own reflection during an all black loading screen? 🧛♂️
“Oled people” like glossy screens better for some reason. They swear by their mother glossy makes it more “black” and thus better. It’s personal preference because imo I can’t tell the difference, matte coating or etched screens just reflect less light which makes it better a lower brightness. I think it’s just some placebo effect of thinking something being literally more shiny = more betterer
Because some people wanted a limited edition, would have preferred a glossy screen but need to be reassured about their purchase.
