Dead Space remake is a mess. It’s possible to get it running at a solid 40 and looking good but the next time you load it up, it’s a slideshow, and crashes your system when you try to exit.
£300 for 64gb I had upgraded to 1TB. I could have gotten £350 for it, probably, but I was selling to a friend of a friend so I went lower for them.
I have the Jsaux and I like it a lot, especially the kickstand, and how small yet protected it is in my bag. Only problem is I have kinda small hands and it turns out adding a little thickness to the device makes my thumbs less clever on the thumbsticks. I noticed this when I took the case off again and played some Tony Hawk. I was puling off manuals a lot easier without the case.
But if you have average or large hands I don’t imagine that’ll be an issue.
Because this sub is insane. Steam deck people are insane people.
The next one is going to be checking your screen supplier to see if it’s Samsung or BOE, and getting upset if it’s not Samsung.
Honestly if you have the money and you know you’ll play it, get it. If you don’t get it you’ll probably do $20 worth of thinking about it.
Mine went from “packaged items” to “shipped” earlier today (UK). I now have a GLS tracking number and for several hours it read as “GLS has not been handed the package” but now reads as “in transit”. It’s still in the Netherlands, but it’s good to see some movement there. I was worried the fact that it took 20 minutes of refreshing to order had slipped me into the 6-10 business days frame.
I have a 1tb SSD and a 512gb micro SD, which is 1.5tb total storage, and I find that to be enough. I’d go for the 1tb micro sd, and just be sure to use the 512gb you have internally to install the newer, more SSD-reliant games on like Cyberpunk. Most other games will run perfectly fine on the SD card.
This is not complicated, I promise:
People who just bought an LCD Steam Deck when Steam Deck OLED is announced: “fuck!”
People who just bought an OLED Steam Deck when the OLED Steam Deck goes on steep discount a week later: “fuck!”
I think the backlash is a bit overblown but it is rooted in a real annoyance. When it was announced yesterday, I was at my brokest I’d been in years, by circumstance. I couldn’t afford it on launch if I tried, because there’s no time for me to put a plan in place. Not everyone can just lift £500 out of their month’s earnings on a week’s notice. So I’m just hoping that these orders are fulfilled and there are enough to spare that I can get one at my convenience. But interest seems HIGH so I’m not confident that I won’t be waiting around for a while.
That’s my frustration: that us povo losers weren’t really given enough of a heads up to stand a chance. When you announce and release within a week, you’re releasing exclusively for the people who just happen to have money to burn. It feels unfair in that little way that life often does when you’re getting by.
System Shock remake
My Friendly Neighborhood
I actually can’t think of many others unless you’re ready to dive into Visual Novels are interesting little indie experiments.
