I’m getting my first Steam Deck for Christmas and suffering from analysis paralysis on which games to get first lol (especially as I’ll have to be more limited on what I spend than I’d like), so I was curious what AAA games you’ve played on the SD that you enjoyed the most so far.
The one I’d really love to play is Baldur’s Gate 3 but I‘ve seen a lot of mixed reactions on how well it plays on the SD so I’d probably wait to play it especially as I’m not very technologically literate lol. But some others I’m considering are Cyberpunk 2077, Witcher 3, Elden Ring, Skyrim, Fallout 4, RDR2, and Sekiro
Armored Core 6 & Days Gone <3
Oh boy I sure can’t wait to get AC6 during the Autumn Sale! I wonder how much the discount is
How is AC6 on SD? Solid 30 fps at least? tempted to get it
You can get a locked 40 out of it. That’s the best I could do, even if you try all low if I remember right.
Thanks. I play most of my games at 40 fps locked. This is good to hear.
It ranges from 40-50fps. Can lock it to 40 no problem
It’s pretty smooth. It’s a solid 30, but you can get more out of it at the price of battery life. I play docked for the most part. Fromsoft has put a lot of support into making their games run decent on the Deck. I’ve heard Eldon Ring runs pretty good too.
The only 2 caveats with it is that the LCD model is Really loud with the fans. The OLED is noticeably quieter, and it makes for an overall better experience. The other being the text is pretty small and can be hard to read. Other than that, it’s a really enjoyable time.
