I’ve always been an iphone user but lately my phones getting slow (it’s old) and it’s time to buy a new one. i’m broke and i’ve been saving up and i’ve saved up just enough to either get an A13, A14 or A24.

Never used a samsung phone before but what do you guys recommend?

my brother has the a13 and it looks and works fine for its price and the camera is good too.

If you boy one of this, don’t wait too much from your phone. Depending on what you need… Those are low quality phones, if you find a good s20 or s10+, may be a lot better than an A series. But lets say you buy the a24 (if bigger the number, better the phone), this one has a good battery life, won’t break or scratch easily, is enpugh for daily life.

All these are very low end. They will be slow and with mediocre cameras. They are cheap… They are good for basic use (phone, text, web browsing, simple apps), not much more.

Those phones are low end so they are cheap for a reason, they can be slow at times. Who knows how slow they will be in a years time. I recommend getting a Samsung A52, A53, A73, or get OnePlus nord 3, OnePlus 10T, redmi 12 or any redmi phone, Poco x5, pixel 7, nothing phone 1 or nothing phone 2 or almost any other phone.

Solid phones all the redmi phones, has the control centre like iPhone if your into that. Watch the review videos on YouTube and see if you like it. I don’t own one but have had experience with other redmi phones and no trouble.

Update respectively the time phones are updated us an issue with Xiaomi/Redmi. Phones are solid. Had Xiaomi before, kids and family are in Redmi Note 8 and 8pro (Updates ceased a long time ago…).

    Hint: the numbers.

Sometimes a “better” phone is only slightly better than the next lower specked one, earning a value for money tip for the lower model (like A34 and A54). But higher number is always specked better, thus “better” phone.

What is better to you? Better specs or better value for money?

I wouldn’t look lower than A24 for a phone for my mom.

Thank you!! i was mostly torn between the A14 and A24 but a lot of people here on reddit don’t seem to like the A14 cause it has a few problems.

i’ll look into the a24 thanks again

If you can, I’d try to get you at least a flagship from a few years ago. maybe the S10 or the S20. a flagship from a few years ago should beat out a budget phone from 1-2 years ago. Plus, if you have a US carrier, you will have a higher trade-in value with the S series vs the A series.
