And the screen looks fantastic. Some people here had me nervous and if you’ve been on the thread you’d think it was the end of the world and you’d have to instant RMA your device due to dead pixels.
Just wanted to add a positive note. My LE arrives pristine with no issues whatsoever.
Samsung makes the best OLED screen in the world, kind of baffling that they explicitly went with BOE for their most expensive Steam Deck.
I’d have to LG makes the best, Samsung QC hasn’t been great lately.
LG only makes large (TV and monitor) OLED displays, which are different than mobile devices which are Samsung territory
Scale. Samsung has to run a specific production line. BOE can handle smaller, custom orders, and overall their quality is fine. But this is a limited run and more manual process which will always result in more errors.
