Supposedly, according to China , China can make their own chips and doesn’t need western technology. Yet they keep stealing western technology. Like the dumb kid copying off the smart kids test. China is the country version of that dumb kid. Must be a massive embarrassment to be Chinese. A country known for thievery and unoriginality. A country full of dumb kids constantly stealing/copying. Pathetic joke of a country.

I agree with everything except the embarrassment part. In China, the ends justify the means. They don’t care if they get caught or if westerners think they should feel shameful.

Chinese mentality is that if there is a loophole or exploit or shortcut that you don’t take advantage then that’s you being stupid. Everything is basically fair game.

That mentality collapses societies after some time. It’s already happening in a lot of places. It’s cancerous

Could you give an example of a society that collapsed because they achieved too much success through unscrupulous means? Many of the wealthiest societies in the world presently saw their wealth and power increase due to unethical practices that were justified by the ends justifying the means. For example many European countries spent centuries taking resources from other people across the globe, and the US famously leveraged the ownership of humans as property to develop vast agricultural wealth. Modern successful countries like South Korea subjected their people to incredibly brutal work conditions with the promise that they would gain wealth for future generations (which they did).

I can’t really think of a society that collapsed due to their success coming from unethical sources

This sounds identical to rich Americans. If you don’t take advantage of every tax loophole and possible way to milk money from people then that is you being stupid…

I agree with the tax loop hole on an individual level, not if it’s a corporation.

I didn’t used but now I’ve seen how they waste tax money the government can kiss my ass.

Unfortunately the brain washing works and most Chinese people are not only very proud of their country but also completely unaware how their path to success has been paved. They think any such comments are just lies because they’ve been told Westerners hate them because they’re jealous of them.

You do know that China consists of individuals, right? You do know how unintelligent this post sounds, right?

An independent hacking group stealing chip IP has nothing to do with claims from PRC that they don’t need western technology.

I’m jetlagged right now and I can’t think of a great comparison but this is like trying to compare the USA peoples to the actions of Donald Trump. Or conflate the actions of proud boys to the US government.

Chinese kids for a few generations has been taught you have to be the best. Failure is not an option. It’s cultural shame.

As long as you don’t get caught - cheating, copying, stealing, cutting corner, etc are all on the table. The ip thieves are probably got rewarded. It was an honor for them as well. “Winning”
