You would need a new cpu cooler unless your current one is am5 compatible.
I’d need a new one regardless if I went with a 5800X3D, 5700X or 7800X3D so it’s not an extra cost in comparison. The only exception is if I were to go with a 7600.
You can use AM4 compatible coolers on AM5.
