Look for something with at least a Ryzen 3 / Intel Core i3 and 8gb RAM. Storage size doesn’t really matter, just get whatever you think you can deal with since on most laptops you can upgrade it later if you want, and ssds are getting pretty cheap now. Also watch out for Windows in S mode, since it can’t run steam. And don’t expect any laptop under $500 to play any 3d games from the past decade. But you should be good for like 90% of 2d games. Pretty much any laptop with a brand name you’ve heard before won’t have any issues with basic school stuff.

For gaming don’t expect much. But for 215 dollars (this is an extreme budget range for laptops) this is actually very decent deal. If you walk into a Best Buy and look at the laptops they have under 300 dollars they’re all going to have celerons and penguins. An 8th gen i5 is serviceable at least

16Gb Ram is a bit low, 32Gb is better if you open a lot of tabs or play the latest games

256 GB SSD is also pretty bad. I’d say 512GB is the minimum if you’re okay uninstalling and reinstalling things a bunch, but a 1TB SSD is probably a good idea.

I’m not sure if I’m miss reading it, but that looks like a 8th gen i5 processor. Seeing as currently processors are 13th gen (iirc), that probably won’t hold up very well. It could be okay if you only play very simple games, but I’d recommend shooting for at least a 12th gen (11 at a low end if high i#)

It looks fine for $220, but it probably won’t last too long (before you need to upgrade) or run too well. Id recommend seeing if you could get something with a bit larger of an SSD and maybe a better processor (NewEgg should be pretty good, I think there’s a software like GSM-Arena called something like “notebook lookup” that could also help). If it works for you now, that’s great, but it’s generally a good idea to consider what you will need a bit down the line too

It’s decent for less intense games but no modern AAA game will run. Also in case of PC hardware age really is just a number
